CNB Startup Studio Offers Minority-Led Startups Opportunities To Work With Industry Leaders And Secure Funding
|
eMerge Americas and City National Bank will select 20 Florida-based early-stage startups with minority founders to participate in the curated five-week program, scheduled to commence the week of January 12, 2022, and ending the week of February 9th, 2022. The program will consist of thoughtfully curated weekly webinars hosted by industry leaders covering topics such as effective fundraising strategies, how to grow and scale, perfecting a business pitch, among other topics. At the conclusion of each weekly webinar, 4 different startups will give 3-minute pitches and City National Bank will be awarding up to $50K in grants as prizes. The deadline to apply is Friday, January 7th.

Online Trading Pioneer TradeStation To Go Public In $1.43B SPAC Deal
|
As one of South Florida’s oldest financial technology companies and an online trading pioneer, TradeStation Group is going public through a SPAC deal with Quantum FinTech. The transaction is valued at $1.43 billion, the company announced Tuesday. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2022.

Though it lags well behind Netflix and the like, Apple has enough money to ride out the increasingly expensive streaming wars, which threaten to bankrupt other players. One question keeps its rivals awake at night: just how big in media does Apple want to be?

City National Bank and eMerge Americas will select ~20 early stage startups based in Florida and with diverse founders to participate in a thoughtfully curated CNB Startup Studio program. If you are a minority founder and based in Florida this is the opportunity for you to connect with industry leaders, propel your startup to the next level and a chance to win up to $25,000! The top 5-7 startups will be chosen to participate in a closing event during the week of February 16th, 2022. Ultimately, there will be three startups chosen: 1st place will receive a $25,000 grant, 2nd place will receive a $15,000 grant and third place will receive a $10,000 grant - all provided by City National Bank.
